You can do them separately, no problem. Most install the rear first.

Pop a LT kit in there, SC it, and drive 80 through the desert. Jump some dunes. If you're wanting to go fast and still wheel, that's what I would do. My long, very long, term plan is to LT. I have a few sets of dunes around, but not much in the way of crawling.
