    Can a 2003 V8 4runner tow a 1999 2wd 4runner? Bad idea?

    I towed my first V8 4th gen with my 2nd V8 4th gen. If you are careful, you should be fine. It's a heavy haul, but leave plenty of distance and you'll be alright.
