you could get a highbeam pigtail set, and let the existing harness handle powering both the highbeams and the aux. lights at the same time. This gives you a little less flexibility, as its all or nothing, but probably the simplest solution. Otherwise, you'd need a switch and a relay inline.

Hi Doc, Thanks for this explanation. Did you ever get any pics? I'm trying to accomplish this right now, and have the switch and relay piece in solid, but having trouble tapping into the high beam trigger wire. Not sure if that is on the driver side or the engine side of things. Any ideas...

not sure if it WILL fix it, but at least there is a potential solution. I just installed the update on mine a few minutes ago. Hopefully, that will solve the problem. I'll keep you posted.

software update for head unit I just stumbled upon a direct download portal from toyota, for software updates after days of Googling and forum research. I've had the same reboot issues on my 2014 T4R, and apparently the software update Toyota released in March is designed to fix this issue...

sort of I don't have this exact problem, but mine does completely reboot in the middle of driving some times when connected to bluetooth.
