So it looks like the antenna will be in the glass on some models, but definitely not the SR5. It also appears that the Trail Edition lives on, but I hope the 4wd goodies are also available on the other trim lines also.

I thought the spare tires were the same size as the rest? I know it is on my 4Runner, but then again mine came with 17's.

Yeah, I've seen those wheels on another Toyota vehicle before, but I'm just not sure where. They almost look like the wheels on the Lexus GX, so maybe that's where I've seen them before. Either way, I highly doubt we'll see those wheels on the new 4Runner.

I thought that at first too. But if you look at the placement of the lugs in the wheel, you can see that they are not in the same position on each spoke. With a 5-spoke wheel, that means that it will be a 6-lug hub. Besides, I found another pic of the same vehicle from the side and it is...

It has to be the next 4Runner. What else could it possibly be? Unless Toyota is planning on releasing an all new model SUV to its line-up that nobody knows about. And that's not happening, not in this day and age!

Why do you say the DRLs are gone? They could very easily make the yellow lights on the outside of the headlights as the DRLs again. Plus, we don't know what the lower front fascia looks like because nobody has a picture of it uncovered. There may very well be lenses similar to the '03-'05 models...

I just finished reading a thread about the Trail Edition where a new member said he just got one. So yes, they are out there. But forget about the Trail Edition.... how many '09 4Runner owners are members of the forum? Of any trim? Not many, from what I've seen so far.

Tell him to honor the incorrect price and you'll buy it. It's worth a shot. Even at that price, there's probably a little profit in it for him. BTW, don't bother getting a Carfax for a new vehicle. That's a waste of money.

If you're driving normally, you'll probably never noticed any sulfer smell. However, if you keep your foot to the floor for a bit and then stop at a red light, you should notice a sulfer-like scent. On my particular 4Runner, I only notice it if I'm really hard on the gas and then come to a stop...

We can get a sulfer smell with all windows up and the sunroof closed. Having the windows up does not stop the sulfer smell from getting into the vehicle.

It also looks like the extreme rake of the 4th gen is history on the 5th gen, which is definitely a good thing. There's still a little rake, but nothing like the 4th gens. The wheels wells are no longer round. They definitely have a pronounced flat portion along the top, which reminds me of...

Even under the panels, you can see that the back window is relatively vertical, instead of slanted like most other SUVs. And of course that's good news for those of us who love the retracting rear window. I would have been so disappointed if the 2010 4Runner had a fixed rear window.

I also just noticed a return to the mast antenna. I wonder if that will make it into production?
