Group Buy on 1st Gen 4Runner Can-Back Soft Tops

I might be interested at a price-point of about $1,800 shipped (thought I would throw that out there, since you are trying to gauge interest).

Wow! That's the nicest looking rear bumper setup I've ever seen on a 1st Gen, ToyoTech. Congrats!

What size tyre is this ? 30"

I can confirm that stated by 85toy4runner, since I have a copy of his old ebay ad. He lists the tires as "New BFG A/T tires 31x10.50x15".

    Some on hit my 4runner

Got any photos of the bumper (before and/or after the collision)? Just curious as to what saved the rear from getting all smashed up. I have an SR5 bumper, which is slightly more durable than the other tin-can-like bumper that came stock on our 1st gens. I'm trying to decide on what to get...

    Weld together front bumper kit?

Very interested in seeing what you have planned for the 1st Gen 4Runner Rear Bumper. Do you have a prototype or any plans that you can share at this time?

    1st Gen T4R Picture Gallery

:wow: So, that's 3 4Runner/Surf vehicles in less than 3 months? You must be single, or have a very understanding spouse. . . I'm sure my wife would have divorced me the after the 2nd vehicle ;): The last one looks to be the cleanest of the fleet. Just curious -- What are your plans for all of...

    88' 4runner to a Prerunner

Blazeland is out of South Orange County, California (where it looks like you are from). Check out his stuff at Home Page There has been some favorable write-ups on his stuff at 4wd Toyota Owner Magazine. What ever you decide, good luck with your project.

How to? Removing decal from one truck to another - 1st Gen

If I think I know what you are saying, that (to me) seems like a virtual impossibility with a good outcome. I don't know if you're talking about old decals or new ones. . . but even with new ones, it would seem very difficult, if not impossible to do with a successful outcome. If you attempt...

Welcome. I was just admiring your 1st Gen on Yotatech the other day. Very sharp!

    TAG Rear Bumpers!

Thanks, Kid. I looked up Padgett Fabrication, and yes, his workmanship looks top notch. I may give him a call. Thanks again for the tip.

    TAG Rear Bumpers!

That IS a nice bumper. Too bad they discontinued it. It seems to me that if someone stepped up and came up with a production rear bumper with tire swing for our runners, they would have customers lining up. I've been looking for months for a rear plate (non-tube) rear bumper for my 1st gen...

    TAG Rear Bumpers!

If anyone goes with TAG (or already has a TAG bumper), please post your experience. I believe this company used to be called Kennesaw Mountain Accessories (KMA), and had a pretty bad reputation in the off-road fabrication industry (ridiculously long delays, quality issues, service, etc.)...

    Softopper - Which Color ?

I love the look of your 4Runner color combo as it is. That being said, my vote is for BLACK.
