About every 6 months I need to reset the computer that controls the windows, to fix my window issues

I live in Wisconsin which uses a lot of salt. I have a 2005 and my wheels started to flake and peel after a few years and now routinely leak. I am planning to purchase replacements and wonder if Toyota has fixed this problem or should I get aftermarket wheels?
