If you want simple/inexpensive, forget the integration with the JBL amp, replace the speakers and run them off the head unit.

These and the Toyo HTs will get you 100k + miles on road driving. My last set of Toyo HTs were at 109k when I took them off my V6 4Runner, so I bought another set.

The top panel around the gear selector just pops out, just have to pop out the trim piece before the cup holder portion.

Toyo HTs on my 07 Limited, 2nd set (first went for 88k), good overall tire for highway use. Cheaper than the LTX/MS2 but similar performance.

Look at the Toyo HT's, similar performance as the LTX MS2 at a lower price point. I got 90K out of my last set and was very pleased with them.

If I recall the serpentine belt should be replaced at 90-100k on the V6; it's easy enough to do with a breaker bar and socket from the top.
