Not true. Actually the opposite is correct. Engine not working as hard with the blower and in return will last longer. Just don't expect great mpg's.
The Magnuson supercharger is worth the money if you enjoy driving. The SC shines on the highway. Getting up to cruising speed is actually fun now...
