For top collectible dollar, loose the oversized wheels, (find allows or steel originals); and remove the wheel opening plastic, (light flares).

First generations have topped $25,000 and Hagerty's values them as classic cars, depending on condition.

The really frustrating thing is Toyota no longer sells touch up paint that matches many of the early paint codes.

Actually if you don't need the side steps to get in and out of your 4runner, they look better without them.

I have tried several Toyota wrecking yards and no luck there either.
