ever figure this out? Having this problem myself. Just replaced hub/wheel bearings, axles. symptoms seem like a bad front right wheel bearing... mine's an '94 4runner v8

Is the play in the cv portion? I have a similar amount of play on my front diff (maybe a wee bit less). Since yours isn't leaking does this mean there isn't too much? I have a sharp clank noise when I hit something like a large crack in the pavement, which led me to start poking around...

75/140 gear oil I have some left over 75/140 I got for my 12GS moto. I'm assssuming it would be fine for use in my diffs? Anyone heard otherwise? I'm a noob, I admit it. Oil threads are great....

Old Man Emu stuff I had a '96 and put med duty ome spring/shock on. They were FANTASTIC. Of course I had driven around a long time with saggy butt springs and worn out shocks... That was AFTER the factory replaced or "fixed" rear springs...

Just bought a 2000 limited w/ rear locker with 96k. Sure missed my '96 ever since I sold her. Overdue on timing belt, may need brakes etc. Thanks, Ripcord for posting so much good technical info. Helped me figure out which model I wanted. Now, on to timing belt info!!
