The studs are threaded in I can see that, but from underneath the truck do you turn the stud left or right to try to loosen it?

Just wanted to shout out a big thank you for this tip. Took me a minute to figure out the fold as well, but once I got it I took the breaker bar to it and came off like butter. Should mention that this was on my new to me 2004 Lexus GX470. :thumb:

Anyone else think the sales increase is due to Toyota actually putting 4runners in commercials and/or advertising them more than in the past? I know I have noticed it.

I lived in California my entire life, until the first of this year. Drove for 20 years and NEVER had a front plate. They are gay as hell. Not once did I ever get pulled over or get a ticket for no front plate. And I was pulled over probably 8 times for other things.

Check Carson City Toyota. I got a quote of $800 over invoice for ANY in stock 4runner. FWIW you could check Freeman Toyota in Santa Rosa. They generally have lower prices than anyone in the north bay.
