    2000 4Runner on 260K Rear Diff Fluid

There are some site issues, but to be fair, it's working OK lately as long as you run an ad-blocker. I cannot imagine how many new owners come to this site without knowing that and never return......:ohwell:

3rd Gen 1999 4R Catalytic broken stud removal. Please help!!

Wow. Yeah, you were on a bigger task than I am, for sure. I think I am going to come up from the bottom laying on my back with a box of high-quality bits and eat some metal shavings while I cut off and then drill out the 2 broken studs. I may try an extractor bit of some kind. I have one intact...

3rd Gen 1999 4R Catalytic broken stud removal. Please help!!

Thanks, T4R2014 My instinct is also to just extract the studs and re-bolt with high-quality secure hardware. Having followed this forum for years, I thought I'd make an attempt to 'do the right thing' LOL. If you don't mind, can you clarify what your technique was to get the studs out? 'Slits'...

3rd Gen 1999 4R Catalytic broken stud removal. Please help!!

Rather than start a new thread, I'll piggyback off this one as there is lots of good info and advice. So, last weekend I got out my fists of ham and proceeded to start the job of replacing both cats in my 2000 CA-spec rig. 2 of the 3 header flange studs snapped. At least they broke after the...

    2001 280k transmission failing- questions!

I would consider Yota1 Performance in Riverbank, CA (Central Valley) first. Timmy and Sean vouch for them too, and have videos to back it up. If it makes you feel any better, I have had a pronounced TC/Transmission howl/growl/whine for 3+ years/30k+ miles. Push it.

Feels like t4r.org is rolling on 15yo aftermarket LBJs

:cheers: Just a head's up - install the free Ublock Origin ad-blocker and at least you can view the site while it's still up with zero ads. I used to tolerate a few sidebar ads to help the admin pay the bills, but it got completely out of control. The site now operated to serve ads...

Feels like t4r.org is rolling on 15yo aftermarket LBJs

I fear the end is near sometimes...... this site was unreachable off and on for a couple days again. Internet Archive, are you listening?

What fuel injectors would you recommend?

Not that Motorwest needs another endorsement but I'm 2 years in and happy with mine. I have recommenced them to others who feel the same. Buy once Cry once applies here and the price is fair.

    TEQ retrofits, reliable?

Yep - I haven't had my DRLs hooked up since I learned (6 years ago) on this forum how easy it is to disconnect them on 2000s! I want stealth in the woods and it saves on bulbs like crazy, too. I believe I read that 2000 was the last year the were Optional in the US.

    TEQ retrofits, reliable?

Any additional updates on these or other retros? Both of my stock headlights have suffered water incursion, and the reflective material is curling up and flaking off. Trying to chart a course forward and probably too lazy to DIY them with oven-baking and whatnot. TY

    Smoothest riding aftermarket suspension?

If you don't want the super high-end stuff (understandably), check out Shock Surplus buyers guide or one of the other resellers for a ton of comparison videos covering options from basic to more extreme. There are still a lot of options out there for our platform.

Tips Appreciated: 1998 Passenger Front Axle Replacement

If you have no lift and like to play with copious amounts of grease, reboot away! For anyone with any lift who never wants to worry about a torn boot again, another vote for the TrakMotive EXT/HD axles. They are about $150 each (buy a pair :) )

RIP Chuck. I know how much a cat can mean - I got a rescue kitten during the pandemic. I hadn't had a cat for 15 years and had forgotten what incredible creatures they are. My wife is not super-impressed with our bond, LOL. It was cute at first, but he's my ride or die now. Anyway, I forgot you...
