Hello Fam! Can anyone tell me if resetting codes with an ODB2 device will take the 4Runner out of limp mode caused by the code?

Update - AutoZone sells a replacement pump for $133. Will this fix the problem?

I started having the same trouble 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, I spent $1,500 to replace the left catalytic converters, only to have the same issue pop up again today. Has anyone found a solution? Will resetting the CEL get me out of limp mode?

Reply Yes, programming the chip is a different procedure, and I've never done it. But, programming the remote is a piece of cake.

If the key will open the glove box and trunk, it is a master, but you don't need a master key for the dealer to program a new master.

If anyone has one of these fabulous flip keys for your 4th gen and you break it (or jump in the pool with it in your pocket), don't throw it away!!! I ordered a new one, and was able to easily switch out the blade and chip, so I didn't have to have the new one cut or programmed!!!

Sounds like your material may be the best of both worlds. I like the thickness of mine, but I would have preferred to use the original fasteners. I'm not sure the ones I bought will hold up over time.

If you use the 1/16, the original fasteners will fit. This will save you the extra money ($20-$25) for the cost of new ones. And if you do go with new ones, you'll have to try them out first to make sure they'll work. Autozone let me do that because theirs come in packages that can be re-sealed.

What kind of fasteners did you use? The 1/8 inch rubber is too thick for the original ones.

No. T-boned a van that turned left in front of me. Jacked up hood, fender, bumper, grill, headlight, foglamp; pretty much everything on the front right. No fluid loss, so I don't think anything mechanical is involved.
