Thanks for the response. I'm trying to gain clarity on the the live A/F and O2 readings: S1 reads steadily at .655, S2 fluctuates between .1-.8 Short term fuel trim is pretty close to zero. Any chance that my code reader just has the S1/S2 reversed and theres not actually anything wrong here?

Alright, thanks, I will keep that in mind as a potential resolution if I'm dealing with this when I have to get smogged! Sort of want to take it to smog just to see whats actually coming out of the tailpipe.

Hey Brillo, thanks for mentioning that detail about driving to get an accurate temperature reading. I'm guessing that starting up and idling up to operating temperature doesn't do the same thing. I'll take it for a spin, retake the temperature and report back.

I did read that post about the bad MAF in the midst of my forum hunting. Apologies if i wasnt more clear, my question was this - is the cooler temperature reading post-cat a sure fire sign of cats going bad?
