Hi use to hear the same thing about early model Broncos or Jimmy's... No not near status of a Shelby but anything pre 5th Gen, clean, low miles and packaged right is going for high dollar and only going up compared to anything 5th Gen. 5th Gen was the end for 4Runners in my humble opinion.
