agree. ive been dying to get mine on an actual track ("big" turbo might be interesting with lag for any non-drag type, but it wont stop me from trying!). when cornering at the limit while throttling the gas, the feeling of boost pushing you through the corners is unreal :tongue:

Thanks for the reply. I'm not a car noob, but definitely a Toyota noob (what I meant to say). I'm just unsure on intervals for these vehicles. What fluid, how much, how often, what weight, etc. I have no problem doing the actual work.. Except I'm usually working on manual trannys :P

one more noob question since i got my b&m in the mail today (sorry to keep bumping a dead-horse thread). when i go to install the trans cooler, chances are some fluid will spill. previous owner said the tranny has never been touched. what fluid is factory for the tranny? should i get it through...

just picked up the truck! turns out the owner thought it was a 2000 until he looked at the title, but the title said 2001, so i actually gained a year haha. anyway, here it is and one i found of the evo turbo/wastegate setup (through the hood) :naughty:

hmm, i just didnt know if anyone had issues running full synthetic with seals or clutch packs. if toyota recommends conventional, ill continue to run it, but if people have noticed gains with synthetic i might switch over whenever i hook up the cooler. never heard of a half synthetic before lol

not a bad idea. I already bought the larger cooler though (main concern is heat above 100*F here plus humidity above 80% which leads to heat soak) ive dealt with heat soak on my other car many times since its turbo'd, and the only way to get rid of heat soak is let the car cool down internally...

agreed. im going to send the smaller one back. unfortunately a 70 dollar cooler will end up 100 because of shipping the old one twice lol oh well rather do it right once than have to re-do it or fix it later
