Recently installed my new gun metal matte sr8s. I can definitely say they look even nicer in person. Real happy with 'em.

Also stopped by my local shop and they suggested a 3" lift for around $1200. Sounded a bit steep and seems like the few pics of 4Rs I've seen with 3" lifts on 265s didn't look that great to me. Seems like bigger tires look a whole lot better with the lift. Anybody do the lift with 265s and...

Sorry, I'm referring to the chrome "covers" on the bumpers. Not sure it matters to the OP, though. Just looking for someone who does a good job powder-coating with vehicles, whatever the part.

No, I got the SR8s from SCS. Would that make a difference? I thought the outer radius was same as stock wheels, but not really sure.

I've decided to powder coat my front and rear bumper instead of Plasti-Dipping 'em. Unfortunately, I live in a small desert town and nobody does this near me. Does anybody know a good shop I could go to in Lancaster/Palmdale, or near Pasadena, CA? Any tips would be much appreciated. Thanks

You might be right. Other thing I noticed is the common noises are usually described as a "clunk" ( or as you said, clank). I thought creaking/squeaking was a much better description for what we're hearing. I asked my wife and she said the same thing. I suggested maybe it sounded like a clunk...

Thanks all for the feedback This was interesting, good to know, thanks wfo, not extreme, but noticeable enough that people in the back are like "did you know your new car is making a funny noise". I've been off road a ton in my 3rd gen and never heard anything like this.
