Rear Wheel Well/Fender Mud Shield Missing?

New guy question...sorry if it's a stupid one... So I noticed today, while washing off some debris/mud that I seem to be missing a piece of shielding in my rear-right wheel well. At the link below are two photos. The first is the rear-left well that has the plastic shield piece, the next is...

Protecting rear seats from my Kids

Another vote for Husky Liners. Weather Tec also makes nice mats. I'd go with whatever is a bit cheaper.

    Simple Frame Rust Repair/Prevention.

That's awesome. Have you seen anything develop that wasn't covered up? Or just spots that you covered up popping out? Great thread, thanks a ton.

Running boards and little kids, yes or no?

Agreed. I hate the look, but have boards on mine. Before I had them, my kids (4 and 3) could climb in, and I thought that was that. The game changer was the first winter here in MN. Sure, they can still climb in (rigged a little handle with climbing daisy chain), but they looked like they...

    Roof Rack vs. Cargo Box

Roof box. I've had both, but for 90% of uses the box is great. I guess if you were on a trail expedition with slow speeds and no worries of damaging gear on top or having someone nab your cargo, then a Gobi would fit the bill. But I would assume most times a box is going to be preferable...

Center Console Organizers for 4Runner and more

I just put in all three, they are great additions (not the sexiest additions, but make a huge difference when you need to get something quickly).

Mudflaps with running boards, which ones?

Husky Liners didn't need any drilling and seem to do a great job of keeping spray/debris off the body. With running boards as well (factory), there is almost nothing that gets on the body, but lots caked to the underside of the boards.

Do hood deflectors work to prevent windshield chips / cracks

Agreed. Bugs are a fraction of the weight of a rock, and are generally hot falling directly downward when you find them on the road (so deflectors will help a bit with pushing them higher than the plane of your hood). Rocks are much heavier so that pressure zone the deflectors create won't...
