Glad you got it sorted. The interdependencies between these things does not cease to amaze me. Still don't see why a loose Gas cap should disable the VSC/TRAC function of the vehicle. They should make these things more intuitive, I suppose.

Wa-ooh!!! that's some huge statistics and hopefully are not Toyota's. Mine is still great and never had a single problem with it.

tarheeltp17, I appreciate your insight here, good advice I'd say. I am actually on the lookout for a system that could handle both NAV display and a backup camera. You see, I have a 2004 Limited and I so much love the 6disc JBL system so taking it out is not an option at this point.

Instead of going through that trouble, why not look for a used one on ebay. I remember buying a pair for $30 or so and the dealer installed and programmed them. I guess they are the same type used on the Tacomas, Lexus GX470.

I tried performing the Zero Point calibration the other day on my T4R and observed that when I touched the CG & TS wires 4 times per the TSB instruction, that, both my ABS light and the VSC Trac light began to flash. I continued regardless and completed the procedure but my lights are still on...
