just an eye-candy shot. 35x12.50x16 maxxis creepy crawlers. have 3" lift plus 1" body lift. needed 1/4" spacers in front to clear the tundra calipers. not keeping them, just rolling around on them for now. but I think I like this size:smokin:
a. OP is all stock
b. I have this size on my 2006 dc tacoma. consistently gets 22mpg.
c. A 3rd gen 4runner locking up the brakes!?! ha! i'm calling bs. the ABS system is way to maniacal for that kind of shenanigan.
Besides, that's the whole point; reducing the contact patch = better mileage.
Thanks for the comments. My whole life my dad drove a 1981 toyota pickup and I remember when I was a little kid he had white-letter-out desert dogs on it and I never forgot how cool it looked. So it's white letters out for me from now on.

I 2nd the 245/75r16 option, I ran those on an all factory 98 4runner for a few years. looked as normal as the rest of them, and consistently got 22-23mpg.
I think i'm one of a very few running with the AEM FIC so I'll add something here.
I haven't used the URD control units, btw so I can't directly compare them.
I'm currently running the factory 240cc injectors and controlling them with fic, without issue. I'm able to peg the AFR to 12.5 at mid...
I'm very tempted to drop my supercharger for this kit because:
A: Intercooler!
B: no more belt slip and no more parasitic drag to run the boost.
these alone should net you a sizable amount of power over the supercharger at the same boost levels ~8psi.
My concerns lie entirely with the crappy...
shaun did the footwork to plug the AEM FIC 6 into a 5vz. he helped me get that setup together on my truck with a pnp harness from boomslang. Running this system is all too easy. tune real-time, no maf skewing, control meth injection etc.. not trying to sell you on it. but shaun might.. :eyebrows:

bigger injectors and a 7th injector is redundant. pick one.
make sure you use mls headgaskets.

Why exactly have you decided to rebuild the engine/heads?
LCE will regrind your cams for $1600, as I recall from their webpage. Not worth it unless your building a 1/4 miler. If your doing a full rebuild on the block, you may consider going with the 8.5:1 compression pistons as that will...
I'm guessing by "2nd gen" you mean the black charger. as I understand the grey is actually a 3rd gen and the black is a 4th gen. It shouldn't matter anyway as I think the bracket is the same. it is just the factory bracket mounted to the charger. here's pics of the bracket on my grey unit.
