Re: Re: V6 vs V8 which is better?? What you stated about the 4WD system makes sense. When it comes to the engines, the V-8 shines over the V-6. It will be more realiable over the long run but it all depends on how you maintain and take care of you vehicle.

The computer runs about 1-1.5 mpg off. I would bet that most V8's get around 15-16mpg on an average tank. If you are only highway I would think that the best you would do is around 18-19 mpg. Any more then that is pure dreaming.

I have a 04 SR5 V8 and I think it is a little soft in the ride. What would be a good alternative for the stock shocks? Does Edelbach make shocks that fit a 4Runner? I would like to keep the nice ride but maybe firm it up a bit to reduce the sway when turning. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I would drive my 04 Vette Z06 which gets 24+ mpg.

I removed my air cabin filter and carefully washed it by hand and let it air dry. It came out like it was new and I reinstalled it.
