I have been reading this thread and have surmised that it's the bushing that doing the job. My front end links are quite toast - found out when I replaced the struts. If I replace the bushings, Can any aftermarket end links be adequate? Thanks. Great thread!

I got the extended warranty as well without calling Toyota. What's next? Do we have to go the a dealer to register a cracked dashboard or wait for another notice?

OP, my wife in her 03 was t-boned over a month ago. SUV's been totaled. She survived with some shoulder pain & laceration on her arm. But otherwise ok. Definitely the 4rnr held up. I Don't mind the gas consumption. It's a safe vehicle. Definitely get another 4runner. I did. It's an 05 V6 Limited.

I just pulled the trigger on the 05 Limited, $11.25k. Picking it up tomorrow. Will post a pic soon. Thank you all.

KBB private party on the 05 Limited is $13,115 excellent, $12,615 very good, $12,215 good, $10,765 good condition. Haven't checked trade-in values. Edmunds values are about $1,000 less than KBB. Thanks.

Thanks for all your responses. I am now looking at a 2005 Limited V6 4x2 with 3rd seat, 134k miles. What do you think it's worth? It's a California car, well maintained, garaged. Thanks. Will post some pic if I buy this one.

Thanks for all the concern. From the pic you cannot see the damage on the side. Just been to the tow yard and the only damage on the side is the running board. It was bent up due to the other car's impact. No damage on the doors or cladding. 5th gen is pricey. I think i'll stick with a 4th gen...

My wife got hit on the passenger side. The other car was coming out of a parking lot driveway at an unimaginable speed to cause such damage. Long story short, my wife suffered bruised/swollen right arm and her left shoulder hit the door upon impact. I can say that the 4runner held up. Funny the...

I also have cracks on my dash just like gaterose - above the instrument cluster at the edge of the dash. It looks like a seam. Ironically, mine is an '03SR5, same as the majority of the posters. I'll watch this thread and see what Toyota will do with it.

It worked! I re-did the zero point calibration for the nth time. I have missed procedure #9 during my previous tries. This time it worked. No more lights so far.

I am have the same issue with the OP. Replaced driver's side after cat O2. CEL gone but the VSC and TRAC lights are on. Tried the zero point calibration but no luck. Once I started moving the car, the lights are back. Any suggestions.
