2011 4runner HVAC Blower Relay Problems

Looks like I was able to get this fixed. Seems like the primary issue was a non OEM blower assembly someone installed. I replaced this with am OEM blower and alternator - problem appears to be solved...

2011 4runner HVAC Blower Relay Problems

Hi All - TIA for your help. Just bought this rig (188K miles) a couple of months ago and it just developed a couple of problems. One - the in cabin blower (manual system) will turn on/turn off by itself/ turn on again... It is even turning on when the truck is not running - KOIO. I suspect it is...

WTB: 99 Tall Coils:Front and Rear

I am assuming that since I have a 4wd I have the "tall" springs? I just passed the 200K mile mark and needed to replace shocks, struts, bushings, steering rack, etc.. While I was in there I replaced the springs as well on all 4 corners.... You are welcome to them if you pay for the shipping...

You're right. The problem is motor going lean - if you look at Gadget's kits, they include not only a 7th injector but also an upgraded fuel pump....Lots of discussion about this over at yotatech.... Texas 4runner is right about the dyno .... If it was mine, I would go with the URD 7th...

    thinking about buying a 3gen 4runner

Or, for an even lower price....http://www.completeradiators.com/shop/results.asp?pid=18&cboyear=1999&cbomake=TOYOTA&cbomodel=4RUNNER&cbosubmodel=%28None%29&cboengine=734038171%7CV6+3%2E4+Liter++GAS&pt=Complete+Radiators I just got one from them...nice quality.

    "Pop" in Front End

Very simply, the tie rod should rotate around the ends as you twist it. The inner end is inside of the rack boot with the outer being exposed. The movement will be stiff with no up and down or side to side play. The inner tie rod end can be checked by grasping the rod by the rack housing and...

Do you know if that engine had ever been overheated? Were the cracks around the exhaust valve seat?

How cold should the AC be?

I don't know if you got your AC problem figured out or not, but.....if your vent temps are not where they should be, there is an easy way to "check" the condition of your AC sytem charge state. If the refrigerant is low, it will lead to higher vent temps. Between the grill and the bulkhead, on...

Clanging sound on slow, sharp turns

Is it just the "shaft" (tie rod) or the whole rack? If it is just the tie rod moving around the inner tie rod end could be bad... hard to believe that the rack itself is moving around enough to cause a problem - see here for a representative diagram - http://carfiche.com/fiche009/s30/?6:b:11...

Clanging sound on slow, sharp turns

You don't say what year you have but I am guessing that 3rd gens are the same....sounds like it might be CV joint noise. Usually the outer ones go first - check to see if your boots are split and grease is slung all over your wheel well. If you find this then it is probably time to swap out...

BIG problems since I bought it

If this is anything like my (choke, sorry) Ford, the TPS can be checked with KOEO (Key on, engine off). Probe the right wire (no guess on this one) and you should get a range of voltages (low to high) from closed to open, very smooth in transition (no jumping around up or down). Ford's runs...

    1999 3.4 4WD Clutch Chatter

Hi All - I just bought my first 4Runner.....great vehicle - I can finally tow my boat. Anyway, the truck has minor to medium clutch chatter from a dead stop (always) and I was wondering if anyone else with a 5 speed has had a similar experience and what it took to fix. As far as I can tell by...
