If I just disconnect it under the seat, will it just turn the alarm off or will it affect anything else? I have power windows and locks and don't want those affected. Thank you for all of your help!

Elton H, Thanks for the reply! Have you done this before or know someone who has? The only thing I'm worried about is I currently live in an appt, and if something goes wrong I'll get ticketed. Also, is it the "brain" the one under the driver seat? Thanks again buddy

I don't have a remote for the rs3000 vip system, but it has remote start and a remote that is linked to a DEI "valet 561r" box under the dash/ driver side. I just got this truck and the alarm system is driving me crazy! The indicator light on the center console doesn't work as the valet...
