Okay, my confidence is increasing :) That's certainly true, however when you consider my truck will probably see snow once, maybe twice a year, snow tires don't make a lot of sense. Thanks for the comments!

700m? I must admit, I'm somewhat tempted by the powerbookG4's (12) ability to come out of hibernation almost instantly. I hate when I show up to a meeting, everyone pulls out laptops, and the powerbook guys are typing a full minute or more before our XP machines finish booting.

After lugging my 8lb Dell inspiron around the country, i've come to the conclusion that I need something much much lighter. Any recommendations for a ~5lb notebook? :help:

150 DPI for 24x36 poster printing is perfectly acceptable. Higher DPI will of course produce a better print, but is really unnecessary for poster quality stuff.
