If you have 17s it may be worth looking into 34s (285/75/17). Tires are limited but its a good in between size and you don't get all the width of a 35. Did you tub using a 35 to check clearance?

Negative, you need shocks with threaded bodies for the lower adjustment collars. The only place I know to get replacement shocks for these is through Toytec.
