My 1997 F350 powerstroke has almost 300k and all it's had done is a lift pump and a turbo. That's with it chipped, exhaust, and air box mod pulling a 32' toy hauler for the last 150k. I'm with you, it's all about the maintenance.:D

There is a guy in The Dalles Oregon that converts these to 4wheel drive, paints them up and goes through them. Not sure how much he sells them for.

Tranny jack is your friend! Much more stable then a floor jack. Keep in mind the tranny and transfer case is heavy. Friend of mine had his fall off the floor jack and crash his hand.....all cause he didn't want to rent the tranny jack.

I was a body man for about 10 years and ran in to this a few times. Now I'm just going from the pictures. The easiest way is to drill holes and use a slide hammer or weld tabs to the dented area and pull the dent. My guess is you don't want holes in your door. Remove the door panel. Next...

My problem was erratic rpms while the engine was cold, about 200-300 rpm swing. Now it's down to around 50-75 which is much better. Plus it's not as much of a dog as it was while cold. Could be the what ever they had plugged in to the wire wasn't fooling the computer......who knows, but it runs...

Installed the new temp sensor this morning and it runs like a champ now. It was 120 but well worth getting it to run right when the engine is cold:fro:

No all are new. This sensor is all that's left. If it doesn't fix the cold engine sluggishness not sure what's left.

Read the first few posts to answer your question. And it does matter how cold it is. It runs rough untill it warms up, replacing this part should cure this . Now when the cold Sierra winter is here its only going to get worse. I realize it doesn't get very cold in Vancouver, I lived in White...

But I do need it. Gets cold as hell here near lake Tahoe. We are over 4500 feet above sea level.

What state are you in? In Nevada if it's a truck that's already been titled in Nevada they don't even come out and look at it. They just collect your money and send you your title.

Keep in mind your speedo and odometer are off now which will throw your numbers off. Not much but a little.
