That's not the way it works. The caliper is identified by its cast number, not by what it says it's suppose to be on the return box.

Thanks. I saw your post when when you sold yours. I found an E7008 but the guy wants $1350 for it. Seems kind of steep. I hadn't thought about changing out the LEDs. I'll keep that in mind in case I find a good deal on an E7009. Where do you get the replacement LED board?
