I adjusted mine only once using lots of oil and two people. Should I ever have to do it again, I will compress the spring first and then adjust the height. It is a pita plus another alignment afterwards.

Just a thought, you can always get air bags for the rear springs to maintain the height while loaded, this would make for a smoother ride when empty. As you said, sell what you don't like, I see springs for sell all the times on several forums.

With the factory 6 spoke and 285/75, mine are flush with the standard chrome flares. For a wider stance you may want to look into a 16x8 rim with 4" back spacing.

What he said. The pan is glued on and takes some work to get of. I used a rubber gasket instead of the more or less permanent sealer. With the gasket and the inline filter future maintenance will be much easier.

Keep in mind that the factory rim is a 7 inch rim and most tire companies recommend a 7.5 to 8 inch rim at a minimum for 285/75s. I ran into that problem with my Kumho's, nobody wanted to mount them and I had to mount them myself and balanced them statically with 8oz of heavy airsoft pellets.

They would fit without spacers, they are actually 10 mm narrower than the factory 265/70s.

I cut mine in half and welded an extension to it in the form of a pipe that I slipped over both ends. Mine are 2 inches longer front and back now. Took about 1 hour for all 4.
