I did not have this issue on my 2015 4Runner, but on my 2017 Tundra I did. I installed the Rago dash plate, which involved taking the radio out of it's place for a few minutes. When it went back in, the XM icon was gone. I had not unplugged any of the connectors, so I was a little confused on...

I got it back from the dealership last night. They said they replaced the ECM and I drove it home. I asked for any further explanation, but none was offered. I asked if there's any chance I'll ever find out what caused the ECM to fail, and was told no, not very likely. So, that's it. It's...

I hope this update makes it...the forum being down has been a little bit of a pain! So Toyota USA told the dealer to replace the ECM. Apparently that part takes a couple of days to make it here, so maybe today it'll be replaced and we'll see. I offered them the ECM out of the loaner they gave...

Nothing at all today, no contact from them. As far as the loaner, I waited 3 days and then asked for a loaner. Never had this kind of thing happen, so I didnt realize I should have one.

Update to say there is no update...I did get a 2018 SR5 as a loaner though. That's nice.

Well guys and gal(in case there is one), the dealer called to tell me the sensor didn't fix the issue.

The dealer just called to say it's the crank shaft position sensor that has gone bad. Totally covered by the warranty, and that I should have the truck back tomorrow. Says it's very uncommon. Thank goodness for that extended warranty! 56000 miles... something like that really should last longer.

I actually tried all 3 keys at varying times and after pulling the negative off the battery to let it reset. As mentioned in an earlier post, it's at the dealer now. I'm waiting for what I hope is good news. To reply to an earlier post, I agree you need air, spark, and fuel for an engine to...

They didn't tell me what they were getting from the computer...the service adviser said that fuel wasn't the issue, and that there was no spark and then asked me what it was doing before it died. Honestly, I'm just happy it didn't start when it rolled off the tow truck! I've heard a few stories...

So far, dealership says its a spark issue not a fuel issue as I had suspected. I called to check on it and they asked me if I needed to be given a jump recently or anything unusual going on when I drove it last...I guess they're scratching their heads too!
