DocMT, I'm experiencing the "thump" when I release my break. I'm going to grease the slip yokes and u-joints this weekend. I'm new to this so please bear with me....I'm assuming the grease gun fits on to the zerk fitting; do I have to remove the zerk fitting before pumping in the grease?

Skyak, please provide an update......how is the Lexus replacement working out? How many miles have you driven to date with the new drive shaft?

Have you lubed yours and does it help? So the Gx470 driveshaft works with he 4Runner with no addition modifications? What's the difference between the two?

I've searched the forum which is how I found the solution. Have you experienced the same issue? If so how has lubing helped?
