Still seems like we havent answered the initial question. Does anyone else have any input regarding towing with or without a tranny cooler.......and I'm not looking for the "just install it...it's cheap insurance" answer, which seems to be a common reply. I'm more concerned about the facts...

I just put Bilstein HD's on all 4 corners of my 1999 ltd and love the ride now. Huge improvement. I loaded the truck up today with a bunch of wood and stuff and it still handled really well with all the weight in it.

Can anyone else comment on the ride quality of P vs LT vs E tires. I`d really like to go with 235-85-16`s on my truck, but am worried about the ride quality of a 10-ply tire, since 90% of my driving is city. Thanks

When I bought my used 1999 ltd with 230k kms, it made a slight whining noise when in engaged in 4wd. I also noticed that the 4wd shift lever also vibrations running through it when engaged. I drained and filled the t-case with a synthetic oil and that cleared it all up. Smooth as butter now...

I just swapped out my front and rears 2 weeks ago with Bilstein HD's and the ride has greatly improved, as expected, because I was still riding on the original tokico's with 250,000kms on them. The ride on the Bilsteins makes a dramatic difference....nice and taught! I bought the Bilsteins...
