    Locker

I vote for a Toyota electric locker. The housing needs to be modified to accept it but its the best locker out there hands down.

    1st gen turbo questions

Not much more than $50 for the third if its in great shape. Remember, there are a LOT of V-6 trucks out there so it really isnt all that "rare". The rear housing if its off an IFS truck is 3" wider than an 85 and older rear housing. But there are no physical differences between a 4 cylinder...

    1st gen turbo questions

Housings are the same. Depending on whether you have V6 or4 cyl 4.88 gear sets, they may work fine or you may need a spacer behind the ring gear.

    Converting a 22RET to a 22RE

definitely easier to just put a 22RE in and sell the RTE, but now that you have it apart... you'll need a 22RE head, 22RE pistons, 22RE exhaust manifold or header, and plug the oil passages for the turbo. You'll also need from the 22RE:, the computer, AFM, injectors, fuel pump will be larger...

    1st gen turbo questions

    Hacked / chopped hardtop

When I do them, I remove the front slider. I think its easier than trying to fit a piece of plexi into the curved rear window. I think its 12.5" shorter so thats how much you bob out of it. Actually doing the cut isnt hard, just mark it out and use a sawzall. Weld the windown frames back...

    Tranny Swap

I have done 3 and am going to be doing my 4th coming up soon. R151F into my 87 22RE 4Runner. I usually just buy the entire parts truck and take what I need to do the swap. I do have some spare parts that you may need like pedals, hydraulic line, and a few other odds and ends. Its pretty straight...
