Rattle Pipspeak, my car is brand new. SR5 4X4 V8 with 3500 miles. My moms ride has 3400 miles sport edition 4X2. Same noise, easily duplicated. Once I duplicated the problem on my mom's truck I wasn't too worried and didn't take it in to the dealer.

rattling It's the brake pads rattling. I have the same issue. I'm just ignoring it.

clanking I think the clanking is normal. This is happening on my 2006 SR5 V8 4X4. It only makes the metal on metal noise on sharp/bumpy roads. It almost sounds like it's coming from the wheels. I took off my front skid plate and it still made the noise. It could be the secondary skid plate but...
