New to me truck. First full tank of gas I've calculated 16.1 on 50/50 mix of driving and a bit of A/C use. Going to hit 94 here today... blech. Haven't done any tune up at all yet nor calibrated for speedo errors. Stock '99 w/ stock 16" tires.

Looks like you're looking at the Wrangler Authority. I'm hoping some of these rumors of oil prices dropping down a bit are true so the tire pricing will (typically) follow suit. Would love a set of Duratecs as my next set but the price is hard to swallow... coming from a guy used to paying...

I've noticed this as well maybe 3 or 4 times since owning the truck in the last month. Always as I'm backing up and turning the wheels to the right to back out. Not sure if it has much to do with steering or not. It doesn't sound horrible, but not what I would consider normal. The 4R is new...
