    Coastal Off-Road Rear Bumper REVIEW

Plenty of room. There's a hole in the bumper for the factory exhaust hanger. My exhaust got bent towards the front of the truck so the hanger doesn't reach for me, but if I hadn't bent it it would be golden. I'll probably turn the exhaust out to the side so it doesn't hit the ground as the...

    KDSS Removal

So weird to hear you guys saying things like "articulation is actually good for a kdss vehicle". Stock KDSS has more stability on road and more articulation offroad compared to a non-kdss stock setup. That's why it's such a great system. Yes it has it's limitations, but I'm running with...

Treaty Oak Off-road KDSS leveling kit

What's the issue? When you lifted your truck, the geometry between the hubs where the KDSS sway bars connects and the frame where the sway bars connect got changed. Putting spacers between the frame and swaybar on that match the lift will restore the factory geometry. How is this different...

Who's Running a Fridge in their Runner?

Haha I'm glad it was resurrected, it's still a timely topic. I'm shopping for a 12v/120 fridge myself now. It'll affect real estate for car camping, but IMO totally worth it. Anyone concerned about having a fridge with food in it inside their car in bear country? I love Yosemite, but the...

Coastal Offroad Rear Bumper Assembly/Install Write-Up

Those look cool. Unexpected benefit of mine is that they protect my quarters from trailer jack knifes and also work well as steps to access the roof. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Coastal Offroad Rear Bumper Assembly/Install Write-Up

For anyone still wondering - on my '11 Trail Edition I tried mounting the factory hitch receiver back on over the bumper. Close, but doesn't quite fit. I removed the steel on the underside of the bumper and left the rear face and then could fit the receiver. My camping trailer is around 2500#...

Coastal Offroad Rear Bumper Assembly/Install Write-Up

Nice build. Is that the way the hoops are supposed to be installed? That would explain why these stick out so far.. Also this is the full height setup. My plastic was too beat up to use, and as you can see there are pod light holes in this one.

Real World MPG with 5th Gen?

Averaging 17.5-18 in the city on my 11 with 3" lift, all terrains, skid plates and steel bumpers. I'm pretty happy about that. It's easy to drop it to 16 if I want to pull ahead off the line. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

    Coastal Off-road rear bumper towing?

FYI the factory hitch receiver bolts on through the Coastal rear bumper, so towing concerns aren't an issue. Edit: rumor was wrong, it doesn't bolt right up. A little trimming can help, but I posted here double erroneously as mine is 5th gen.

Coastal Offroad Rear Bumper Assembly/Install Write-Up

Hey guys, in working on my 2011 rear Coastal full height bumper and running into a number of challenges. The instructions I received didn't tell me to cut off the tips of the body mounts, so I got things tacked together and started the welding before they got back to me to update as I just...

    Coastal Off-Road Rear Bumper REVIEW

Bump! Hey guys, I'm building my rear and finishing my front CO bumpers - went with full height. Was wondering if you did anything to fill the gap under the tailgate where the valence was attached before? Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
