I was able to pick up a TRD ORP for a tad under $50K before trade in. Not sure if that is considered too much, but I felt lucky to get it. I had to wait a month for it to arrive, as when I went to the dealership, they didn't have any in stock, but this was on the ship in the pacific.

In answer to the OP, go to Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market and do a search for what you want. There are many different options for rear axles, locker/non locker, ABS /no-ABS, 15" or 16" wheels, 2WD vs 4WD, then the gearing. It has been mentioned to me not to trust the site when it comes...

Yes, i have the factory locker. I am aware of the difference, and if necessary I can do the mod to make it fit in a NON-locker housing. There are plenty of housings for sale at car-part.com that are correct.

That is kind of the plan. I just hate to start throwing parts at something without knowing exactly what is wrong. I have found an entire rear end with a locking diff ( I have 4.30 gearing) with 4.56 gears, so I will be swapping out my center section and then selling the locker/w 4.56 gearing...

Update Looks like this crash bent the rear axle. :( My son-in-law bought the truck from me, and when he stopped by I noticed the rear tires were BALD:crybaby: We took it to a shop who checked it out and said the rear axle housing is bent. crap. Going to have to pull it and replace it. sigh.

Well, My wife and I are going to start doing some serious camping and we are going to get a large(r) camper that the runner just can't tow. I'm looking into a tundra. I can't afford to keep the runner and buy a camper and a tow vehicle. I have always loved the tundras and I just want one :)
