The squeal issue sounds like maybe the wear indicator on the brake pads, have you checked the pads? Also, it could related to squeal plates that go on back side of pads. I use pads that don't need the plates.

Same here - idle about 700 RPM in drive. When in neutral idle is smooth. Also, in drive, if I bump up 100 to 200 RPM it smoothes out.

Johny, for the 3rd gen 4R, with the A340, is there any difference between the 4WD and 2WD transmission. I have noticed the 4WD has a larger pan, and longer dip stick. Can one put a lager pan on the 2WD transmission and use for 4WD, other than adding x-fer case. Are they interchangeable?
