    RCI filler plate install

I never got any torque specs for those front two bolts. Didn’t over crank them, hopefully they hold ok.

Quiet down 2024 TRD Pro Exhaust?

I put a magnaflow overland on my pro. Got it for a couple hundred off retail, had one on a previous orp. It’s definitely got some noise, but it’s not a drone. Arguing about trim levels is a little childish. Get what you like, and be happy for others choices too. We’re all a 4runner family folks.

Tires for TRD Pro, brand questions

I have the Ridge grapplers and they’re probably noisy, but I never cared. Combined with my Elka suspension upgrade they have worked well for 8k miles so far. Only issue is city hills are a bit goofy when wet. From a stop, you can spin a bit. My only gripe. Tried to upload a picture but couldn’t.

    Static sound coming from speakers?

Wow, just found this. Same thing happened to me this morning in a day old pro. Everything was fine, then came out of the store and it all started screeching at start up. Unplugged the ipod, changed stations and nothing worked. Loud as hell. Finally hit some source, after trying to turn it off...

    FN FX Wheel changes

I believe it's all the wheels he produced that had the old style lugs. This was just an FYI so people could be aware of the changes. His email was pretty specific about my style, but his site says the same thing for other wheel styles. Cheers.

    FN FX Wheel changes

New lugs will NOT work with the old wheels. They will not completely seat, so will never tighten the way intended. That was the main issue. The old wheels are now obsolete when it comes to replacement. New wheels, different lugs.

    FN FX Wheel changes

I searched and didn't see anything, so I apologize if this is repeating another thread. I reached out to Dustin about getting another wheel for my truck, and got this reply. My wheels are a couple years old. "The lug nuts for your existing wheels won't be compatible with the new FX Pro wheels...

Unusually dirty rear end. Design issue?

Funny stuff. I can't stand the way the inside of the hatch collects tree needles (or any debris). Same thing with my 4th gen. Drove me crazy. Open her up and....a collection of crap up around the hinges and down by the tail lights. Great design. I was hoping for 5th gen magic and it would all go...

Barcelona Red 4Runners! Let's see them!

suspension time Finally added the Elka stuff this week. John down in Auburn, for all you NW freakos, did the work as usual. Drives great, sits nice and should handle the wild stuff just fine. I'll have to wait till spring for some off road fun, but that's okay. Still workin' on the post surgery...

    2020 model issues/observations

brakes 2020 My brakes squeak too, very annoying. "Yes, that's me driving down the street". So much for stealth mode.

    Flame suit on. Feedback wanted...Bronco/Ford.

Old bronco I had a '71 Bronco in the late 80's. fun little rustbucket of adventure. Spent most nights working on it so I could drive to work the next day. Same temp inside as outside, no noise problems cause you couldn't hear anything anyway...but a nice 302 engine and a go anywhere attitude...

The Chinese Special TRD Grille... on the cheap!

Hey thanks, but I'm not taking off that grille again...ever! I broke two parts, thankfully small, and it was not worth it. I have the pry tools, use them all the time. Once it stops freezing, I'll use the heat gun carefully and work it off a bit at a time. Appreciate the help though. Thanks.

The Chinese Special TRD Grille... on the cheap!

hot summer day? Ha! It's going down to the 20's next week, and I don't even have a garage....only a sad little carport. I removed a small emblem a few years ago and used a 3M product designed to remove the glue. It didn't work all that well, but hwnrunner may have done the same thing I did...
