I used plastigauge on my main bearing clearances today and find that my new clevite bearings are really border line for max oil clearance if not out. The max is .0031". I checked my old ones to find that they are a little thicker and the oil clearance is definitely in spec right around .0026"...

I finally got a call back from DNJ. This is gasket kit 9065. They said the seal with the larger hole is exhaust and the smaller hole is intake. I will qualify that with it was on a voice mail and the person leaving the voice mail did use some incorrect terminology, but she knew the gasket kit...

I wouldn't think .0004" is enough of a difference for a definitive answer. The difference in hole size is much greater than that.
