Free to a good home: Four Yakima Q Towers. These fit into the factory rails on a 3rd Gen (maybe others, I don't know). They're in good shape, just a little paint on two, and chipped paint on the other two. But they still work great. Not included: 58" Round Bars...

Why? Mine (97 SR5, 4wd, 3.4L, ~225 kmiles) is doing the same thing when the engine is cold. But if I let her run for a minute in the driveway till she's warmed up I don't experience the shifting lag. Seems like she's only been doing this for the last 12 months or so. More important question...

I returned the refurb MC and bought a new one this morning. Bench primed it and it started pushing and pulling fluid through both ports. Because I don't have a proper shop with a vice, I simply held it level and steady on a table to bleed it. Installed that baby, reconnected the brake lines...

She's got about 225k miles. Fingers crossed for 225k more! I've returned the refurb'ed MC and picked up a new one, this time with a new reservoir, too. As a sanity check, I took my old MC and bench primed it: got fluid going in and out of both ports. I'll install the new MC later today...

How do you bleed one chamber and not the other? I took off the plastic tube, pumped the brakes again, still no fluid through the front chamber, but the back one has been primed. I took it off to fool with it on the bench. There, I tried priming it with a screwdriver. Same result. Back...

First post from Charlotte/Fort Mill. I-85 threw a rock at me Sunday, which put a nice dent in my hood but luckily nothing else. I'm going to buy a used hood from the salvage yard this afternoon. Will post pictures soon.
