I also saw there was the overfill plug recessed on the bottom of the pan as well. Supposed to take that out and fill until fluid starts coming out of the overfill hole.

Any updates on this? I happen to find myself in the same situation right now, except I pulled the plug myself. Didn't realize it was tranny fluid until I was out from under the truck. By then it was too late to get the plug back in before most of the fluid drained out.

Does the 2005 V8 (VVT-i) have a timing belt still, or did they move to a timing chain for this engine?
Let me know what you find out. I have this same knock/rattle and it's driving me nuts. I think it's more than just the rear seat, but I will be trying that fix tonight.

Yes, I've seen plenty of those videos.
I'm not going to say it's impossible that one would hit their head on the handle in a crash situation, but I guess I would rather hit a rubber grip handle than to hit the headliner and the very hard metal underneath.

I'm 6'0", and there's plenty of clearance. Even sitting in the passenger seat (where the handle already exists), it would be pretty tough to hit my head on the handle unless I were tossed about the cabin (not likely if you are wearing your seatbelt). There were comments earlier in the thread...
Just placed my order with partznet using the part numbers listed in the thread above. The trick to finding the screws was to use the "Search by Factory Part Number" option, and input the part number for the screws. It seems the handle and the plugs are listed in both the collision and OEM...
