1996 4runner frame repair and swap.

wow, i lucked up and got a rolling frame for $300 that was mint. Hard to come by but much easier to fool with. i had a 98 that was rotted and did full restore on it. lots of work but done right, youll never have to do it again... unless someone hits you.

Supercharged 4Runner as a daily driver

Running 295/75/16, I get 16/18mpg city/hwy. If you have the money, do it. Just know you HAVE to run premium, cooler plugs are a good idea, and I swapped to a 170° thermostat to keep the temps down to where they were stock. At 6-7lbs of boost at WOT I have no pinging and I have 0 other mods. You...

    Longer extended wheel studs

Well that sucks. I figured that might be an issue. They were a pretty tight fit for me, but i like em like that :D

    Longer extended wheel studs

i know youre already replacing studs with longer ones, but have you looked for some "ET" lug nuts that are the same style as what you have. They might help you get a little more thread engagement. I guess it depends on your wheels and lugs. I got some because i needed to run a 1/4 spacer...

Grinding the Tundra caliper to fit stock 16" wheels...

These lugs i have "reach thru" the spacer ( or more like a shim since it is so thin) so they engage the same amount of threads. I DONT like these type spacers, but i have to live with it right now, no issues in over 30k miles. I'll probably just upgrade to a wheel that clears the 231's when i...

    Crankshaft Pulley "Uh-oh"...requesting opinions

Save yourself the headache, while this one is off, get another, whichever route u go, New or used. Looks like it could potentially shred a belt. Next time use a puller!

Grinding the Tundra caliper to fit stock 16" wheels...

I just went to the shop I bought the wheel/tire combo from and told them I needed "ET " style lug nuts. They fixed me up. The type of ET you need depends on the type lug nut u have now, ex. Acorn, conical, etc.. They cost be about $1.50 ea.

Grinding the Tundra caliper to fit stock 16" wheels...

Yes, these are the split 3 spoke. They willl rub the wheel, you have to have about 1/8" spacer to clear, hence why i got 1/4".

Grinding the Tundra caliper to fit stock 16" wheels...

I wouldnt grind anything, just pick up some cheap, but quality 1/4" spacers ( IF you need them) But im pretty sure they clear the wheels pictured. I payed $10 for spacers and picked up some ET lug nuts which added 1/4" more thread engagement, so it still bites onto the lugs the same amount...

    TRD Supercharger

Mine was supercharged at around 58k, it just rolled over 221k with regular maintenance, only issue i had was leaky valve covers that i fixed last Timing Belt service, not unusual with higher manifold pressure from the SC. Stock everything from day one til i got it. Running 295's and i drive it...

    eBay uniball control arms?

Just curious, u said your tires are a little bit far back in the well? did you install them backwards, i think they should add about 2* of + caster, which would put your tire further forward, correct me if im wrong. I was also looking at these "blue" ones they have listed , they dont show pics...

why is my 4runner sooo slowww?

Clogged cat? Or muffler? I had that happen once and it was drivable, but noticeable, took a while for the po420 code to light up, but new cat and muffler and all my power was back.
