Nope...weird thing is, every now and then, right he rear dome lights will blink in. I know that sounds like a bad connection, but given how thin those wires are, the connection is as solid as it can be. Good luck on yours!

I've heard it can work.. I've heard it can work but is tricky. I think I've seen a couple of videos of the install working, too, but even though I'm decently handy, that unless I had the right tools, it wasn't worth the potential hassle for me. Good luck on yours; for the cost, the Billsteins...

Recent experience I just did this yesterday on the same vehicle...first, I used a 3/4" spacer to get 1.5" of lift....perfect. Any more would have been too much. Second, unless you're good down there, be really careful. The spacers can go in with the XREAS but you have to rotate the strut 180...

hiccup with my mod I just did this last week but had an issue....I ran the wire to the windshield column and spliced in with a quick splice connector, and the map lights work great now on opening the door, but the dome BARELY lights at all. Not sure how the circuit can be strong to the map...

So, as my mechanic was installing tp spacers on my '08 (just getting rid of the rake), he discovered dry and torn cv boots; my 2 hour bill suddenly ballooned to a 3.5 hour job, plus axles...BUT...when they had that done and were re-installing the struts, he mistakenly split the line on my XREAS...

Torque Converter Same symptoms on my '08 2 weeks after I bought it. It was torque converter...replaced at 93k, now at 122k and running great. Thankfully, the dealer split the cost with me...my end was $450.

Thanks for the reply; They are LEDs...both map lights and middle dome. Not sure how to do anything about the connection now that it’s already been spliced once—-not sure how I might re-splice.

Sort of successful map light mod...help? Did the maplight mod so they come on when the door opens but lost most of the juice to the middle dome in the process—-far rear still bright. Used a quicksplice on drivers side windshield column to tie in. Appreciate any insight...

Exact same My grille did the exact same thing; been considering options and thinking about going with black Bedliner spray after sanding/removing “chrome”.
