I just bought my first 4Runner in August. It is a 1996 with 265,000 miles on it. Obviously no point in me trading that one in. I would consider rebuilding the motor if it came to that. We buy cars to drive until they quit. Change the oil every 3,000 miles and keep going.

I put 330,000 on a '92 Chevy Lumina 3.1V6. Actually we bought this 4runner to see if we liked going off road. We love it. We may sell this one in a couple of years. If I had your 4runner I would keep it forever!
