Never noticed it on the 4runner. Check your floor for any drops of differnetial leak. I let this go by for a few months on my mustang and by the time it was 'too loud' it was already too late and had to get new gears. Just like you, the whine only came when I was going 60+ mph.

The gunmetal TRD FJ wheels would also look good.. I'm thinking on a darker colored runner like black or dark galactic gray (or whatever it's called). Unfortunatley, I have a silver runner and I dont think the offsetting of silver vs. gunmetal looks too nice.
