The 6610 and 6620 are the same unit. The only difference is the Map disk and the front panel markings. One is this years model and the other is last years. I upgraded my map disk so my 6610 could work with XM like the 6620.

Purchase a axial lead 1mfd 16v or greater electrolitic cap. connect the positive (+) end to the pink wire and the neg (-) lead to the black wire.

The 6620 runs ver 3.1. I am using a copy in my 6610 with no problems. 3.1 supports the XM direct2 so I now have built in XM.

I need a copy of the 6620 disk to upgrade my 6610. I purchased a XMDirect2 that claims to work with the 6610 but it is not recognized. I want to try the later disk. I will pay $25 plus shipping. This seems to be the going rate for copies. Thanks, Glenn
