Wow, thanks 03 4X4runner. That thread is exactly what I needed. Looks like an 05 or newer 4x4 v8 Sport edition is the ticket.

I am going to get a new to me 4th gen 4runner. What are the differences in vehicles for this generation? I am just wondering which years I should focus my search. From what I have been able to find, the biggest difference is the VVT in the 2007 and newer. I am 100% set on a four wheel drive...
