    01-02 with Eaton Truetrac

I'd second that it should be a great upgrade. I have a factory e-locker retrofitted to my 02, and it works well with the vsc system.

    2002 4wd won't engage

Couldn't agree more. In the manual it even says to engage the system for about 10 miles a month at a minimum.

E-locker motor issue: Diagnosis and fix!

Sorry for the late response, haven't been on here reliably lately. Toyota used a special yellow grease from the factory. One of the threads I linked to shows the part number for that. You may be able to get it on amazon. It's pricy though, and I did some research and just decided to go with a...

    Rough Country 3" lift thoughts

You can get a good 3 inch setup for less than $1k. I got brand new bilstein 5100s all around with brand new ome springs all around and it came out to a little over $700 shipped to my door. Sure that's not very cheap but you get what you paid for. Mine rides fantastic and performs on and off road...

    Stupid tach question

A cluster from a manual 4runner will not have "PRNDL" in it. As for the swap the little that I know is it's best to get your parts from the same year. Other years may work but it gets weird. There are threads out there about manual swapping and what years to get parts from.

Advice for purchasing another 3rd gen...long distance

There is a third gen buyers guide somewhere out there, on this forum I believe. Definitely read into that and use that to tailor the questions you ask them. Another thing is pictures!!! You can't have enough pictures so make sure they send you plenty high resolution pictures and don't be afraid...

Mating OEM rear diff lock switch to Low range off-road e-locker harness?

He means low range off road, a company that has a wiring kit to retrofit Toyota elockers. Not a "low range' switch to control the transfer case

Real world pricing assistance - 1999 limited

Yeah, it definitely looks like they've done some rush rust cover up. and that spare is a little too rusty to believe that the rest of the frame looks that "good." Overall with its history I think your decision to pass and find a true western rig is the right one. It will for sure pay off in the...

    3rd Gen 2002 4wd Acutator Part Numbers (01-02)

Your question is a bit confusing. You are mentioning that you are replacing the actuator up front, did you replace the whole unit or just the sensor like your picture shows. Those sensors don't go bad very often, but I'd recommend you use a multi-meter and check it out. If those switches are all...

    Undercarriage Rust

As long as there are no holes it can be remedied. Of course the less rust the better, but if the rest of the truck is in that good of shape it might be worth it to clean up the rust that is there. I recommend getting more pictures of the underside. Make sure to check the common problem areas...

    98 Supercharged on CL

Saw this the other day when browsing my local craigslist (Daytona Beach). If I had the money and a place for it I would've snatched it up
