    Cargo Tray Question

Another +1 for Canvasback. Durable, velcro stays put, and it's poo/blood/goo resistant.

    Service recommendation Seattle, WA?

I've always had good experiences with Toyota of Lake City. My 2013 TE has been serviced by them for the past 5 years. I second the opinion that Magic Toyota is terrible!

1up Bike Rack Fit on 5th Gens

Yes, there's an L-shaped piece (delrin or something?) that bolts on to the shaft with one allen bolt. Take out that bolt, pop off the extra piece, and it fits into the smaller receiver perfectly.

1up Bike Rack Fit on 5th Gens

I have the regular duty version, and it locks up very tight on either the 1.25 inch receiver on my VW or the 2 inch receiver on my 4Runner. No wobble at all - very happy with the rack.

    Rats!

Yep, those rodent bastards have chewed through my fuel injector wires twice now and chewed up my cabin air filter once. Cost me about $1000 over the past 3 years. I have been using mothballs placed under the hood, which seems to work when I remember to replace them with some regularity. I am...

Looking at a 5th Gen-is it worth it?

If it's a 4WD, you can't sniff a 5th gen 4R in the Pacific NW for that price. No matter what the mileage or condition. In fact, I would be suspicious if I saw one priced that low. If it's 2WD, well that's different. I have no idea what those go for.

Must decide: Toyota 4Runner vs Highlander

Yep, if you're even considering a Highlander and a CX-9, then you'll probably be happier with the Highlander.

Seattle area 4Runner Meet Up anyone?

I will probably be over on the east side chasing quail and ducks that weekend (or any other weekend in Oct-Jan), but will keep an eye on this thread.

    Thinking about a Trail...

That sounds about right. I bought one that looks exactly like that late last year. It's a '13, and it had 10k miles, and I paid about $34k. I haven't seen another one even close to that since. I'd say jump on it.

    Potential owner..decisions

My other economical car is my wife's Outback. It gets about the same mpg as your Accord, and that thing is magical in the snow. If I didn't tow trailers, negotiate boat ramps, and cover some nasty terrain getting to hunting spots, I would be fine with the Subie as my daily driver. But the...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

    Chelan Butte in eastern Washington.

    Competing Dealers, Need Advice

I agree with Jeff M on this. I always feel like the first dealer that gets into my comfort zone deserves my business. Otherwise we're just encouraging salesmen to sit around, waste our time, and "price match". If they are within a couple hundred bucks of each other, in the grand scheme of...

Would you buy a 5th Gen that was once a Rental Vehicle?

I'd do it if the price is right. I've owned a couple of ex-rentals in the past (Subaru and Toyota), and never had any problems with them - even well beyond 100,000 miles. Rentals are driven by idiots once in a while, but many of the used vehicles out there were driven by idiots EVERY DAY...
